Whatever Man Mask Vorschau 1

FAQ Masks

Where are the Whatever Man masks produced?

The Whatever Man masks were produced near Porto, Portugal at the end of September 2020.

Why should I choose the Whatever Man mask over a disposable mask?

Our main concern is the reusability of the mask and thus the reduction of unnecessary waste. Furthermore, we try to offer an inexpensive product that, does not offer protection like a hospital mask, but still offers more protection with the certification "Covid-19 approved" than any untested fabric mask.

What material are the masks made of?

Our fabric masks consist of several layers. Externally, it consists of a polyester cover in which an aluminium clip is sewn for shaping. The components of the outer shell are 80% polyester and 20% elastane. The inner layer consists of a special fleece which serves as a filter and thus achieves the actual protective effect.

The fabric bag in which you can store the masks is made of 100% organic cotton.

Can the mask be machine washed?

Yes, the mask can be machine washed at 60°C. The certification guarantees the filter performance up to 5 washing cycles.

The accompanying fabric bag can be washed at 40°C.

Are the Whatever Man masks certified?

Yes, our masks are certified according to EU standard EN13724-7:2020. In Switzerland, there is currently no certification basis for non-medical masks, so there are no requirements for this in Switzerland yet.

However, it is important to note that our masks in Portugal have been awarded the "Covid-19 approved" label, which is certainly a good basis for possible certification in Switzerland.

What does the certification of the Whatever Man masks mean?

In order for an MNS (Mouth-Nose-Protection) mask to be certified, it must meet various standards. These standards describe on the one hand the protection against the inhalation of contaminated aerosols, how much air may pass next to the mask and on the other hand the filtering capacity of the own breathing air.

Since our masks are not suitable for hospital use, only the filtering capacity of our mask's own breathing air is certified (filter insert in the fabric mask). This certification guarantees that at least 70% of all particles are filtered out. According to the following diagram, we are in the upper midfield.
