FUTURE GENERATIONS

Sustainability lies at the heart of what we do at Whatever Man. We believe in fair and responsible production using sustainable fabrics with small quantity product outputs. But what we do and what we believe in means nothing if our community around us doesn’t take the time to understand the importance of what we are doing and the impact we can have in our actions. So we went to the future generation, to the kids, to talk about Whatever Man and what we believe in. Read about Michas visit to Schule Ruswil.

Micha is one of the Whatever Man co-founders and an alumn from the Schule Ruswil. His background is in product development and he spends a large amount of his time visiting and communicating with our producers in Portugal. With their week around their topic of environmental sustainability, Schule Ruswil reached out to Micha to talk about Whatever Man - a local brand with its values rooted in sustainability and local to the community.

Micha presented the brand to the next generation talking about why the Whatever Man – Lifestyle falls under the terms of sustainability and what we do in our little way in a large fashion industry to make a difference. What he shared about the band and our story covered topics such as:

- The birth of the brand around community and what the Whatever Man Lifestyle entails
- Where the materials and clothing come from to put perspective on the process
- Our brand values & what we stand for including:
- Sustainability: use of sustainable and durable fabrics
- Local business: designs & values made in Switzerland
- Social responsibility: fair production in Portugal

After presenting and Q&A, Micha put together a small quiz and winners were raffled out for some Whatever Man goodies.

Having a sustainable business to us isn't just about the products and creating a new brand. We know the world doesn’t need another clothing company. But we also know, everyone has a part to play in making a small difference which can have a big impact in this world and in our immediate environment. By doing what we do - we don’t only grow the mindfulness around sustainability but we also nurture a community with values that reflect ours. Our visit at Schule Ruswil was so special to us, to be able to anchor these values with the next generation of leaders, entrepreneurs and consumers.

And of course, thank you to all the kids out there who opened their ears and minds to Micha & the world of Whatever Man. We were so happy to see some familiar faces and their parents visit us at the Christmas Market in Ruswil and in our store in Ruswil since our presentation.
